A subject that I enjoy

 This semester I have five subjects in my career.  One of the subjects that I like the most this semester is called Mannerism and Baroque.  It is definitely my favorite subject, I enjoy it very much and I look forward to the week that the day I have to attend comes.  In this subject we analyze different works of art from different countries of the artistic periods known as Mannerism and Baroque.  Everything that can be said about a work of art is very interesting, because they have a lot to say.  One of the best things is the teacher, she is very funny and didactic for her classes, always managing to entertain me in a different way.  I do not enter this class out of obligation, I do it for pleasure.  I think this subject is the one that I will remember and use the most when I finish studying, because I want to dedicate myself to the iconographic analysis of artistic works from different periods or to work in a museum.  Here below I leave one of my favorite works of the baroque period.  Greetings!!

A career-related website

One of the websites that I like the most and that have helped me a lot throughout my career is Web Gallery of Art. In it you can find almost all existing works of art, the causes can be found by their title, author, year, etc. In addition, they provide a brief description of the artwork such as it´s dimensions, the technique that was used, etc. For my career it is a great help. Here I leave the link for you to visit it: https://www.wga.hu/index1.html

Because to the career I study, I visit this website very frequently, I have relied on it to do most of my work for the university. It is one of my favorite art sites, because it has an extensive catalog of works of art, it is very difficult not to find what I am looking for. That is why I really like this page, it is very helpful. I recommend this site to those who study careers related to art, it will be of great help. Actually I recommend it to everyone, it is a very fun page, also everything is in English, making it more interesting

 

          A beautiful memory.

One of my favorite memories was immortalized in this photograph. Most summers with my grandparents, my brother and my cousin we made a car trip in which we crossed the south of Chile. This trip specifically, was the most special of all. A couple of years ago, my grandfather had been diagnosed with cancer, which was already quite advanced. So he decided to make the "possible" last trip, which he did. We travel by car to different parts, such as Talca, Concepción, Talcahuano, Valdivia, Pucón, Puerto Montt, etc. When we visited Talcahuano, my grandfather took us to see Huascar. My grandfather was a naval officer, so he had preferential access to the naval bases, where the ship was located. I remember that we entered without have to wait and immediately we got on a kind of raft that took us from the seashore to the ship. When we went up to Huascar they gave us a historical tour of it, it was a lot of fun. When we finished the tour we got back on the raft to return to shore, that was the moment when the photograph was taken. The most interesting thing is that, legally, you can´t take photographs of naval or military bases. But without realizing it in the photograph, the naval base appears behind. That same year my grandfather die. This photograph is a very precious memory for me because it was when together with my grandfather we took an illegal photo.
